We are saddened by the passing of David Vasquez, a dedicated member of the Vero Beach Volunteer Fire Department.

Whether serving his community or putting in countless hours at the Indian River County Firefighters’ Fair, David was always willing to help wherever he was needed. His hard work, dedication, and friendship touched many lives.

Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and loved ones during this difficult time.

Rest easy, brother. You will be missed.

Many come to the Firefighters’ Indian River County Fair for the rides, food, and fun—but it’s also about something bigger ❤️

Through the Indian River Burn Fund, the Fair helps local burn victims when they need it most. On March 9, a devastating fire at For the Love of Paws in Fellsmere left Ted Pankiewicz Jr. injured while rescuing animals.

On March 14th, just five days later, a $2,500 donation was presented on stage before The Bellamy Brothers concert—allowing Fair-goers to share in a truly meaningful moment.
Thank you to our community for supporting the Fair and making moments like this possible.

🎶⭐ The Fair May Be Over… But We’re Still Thinking About This Night ⭐🎶

While the Firefighters’ Fair may be over, the music — and those sing-along moments — are still playing in our heads… especially opening weekend when the legendary Bellamy Brothers took the stage. 🙌

From the first note, the crowd was all in… singing along to classics like “Let Your Love Flow” and “If I Said You Had a Beautiful Body (Would You Hold It Against Me)”. Pure country nostalgia, incredible energy, and moments we won’t forget anytime soon.

With a career spanning decades and a sound that helped shape country music, this iconic duo was the perfect way to kick off our 10-day fair. 🎸🔥

👏 A big THANK YOU to Stone from .7 Fresh Country for once again serving as our emcee and introducing all of our talented performers.

The Firefighters’ Fair stage was rockin’ thanks to Carl Owens & Whiskey Trip, one of our area’s favorite local bands — and this year, they had the honor of opening for the legendary Bellamy Brothers! 🙌

🎤✨ From Our Stage to Nashville Dreams ✨🎤

One of the most special moments from this year’s Firefighters’ Fair concert series was watching our own James Holler take the stage, as one of the opening acts for the Bellamy Brothers.

Just 2½ years ago, James was getting his start — and we’ve been proud to support him from the very beginning. Seeing how far he’s come in such a short time has been incredible… and this is only the start.

Now, he’s headed to Nashville to chase his dream and continue his musical journey — and we couldn’t be more excited for what’s ahead for him! 🎶

Thank you, James, for sharing your talent with our community. We’ll be cheering you on every step of the way!
