The last of our highlighted 2026-2027 productions HAIRSPRAY will take Vero by storm from April 15 - May 9, 2027! Set in 1962 Baltimore, Hairspray follows Tracy Turnblad, an exuberant teenager with big hair and even bigger dreams of dancing on "The Corny Collins Show." When she lands a coveted spot on the popular TV program, Tracy challenges narrow beauty standards and the show's segregationist policies, quickly becoming a local sensation. But her rising star sparks rivalry with producer Velma Von Tussle and her ambitious daughter Amber, who are determined to keep things just the way they are. With the support of her friends—including Seaweed and Motormouth Maybelle—Tracy takes a stand for integration, proving that change is possible when courage meets heart. Bursting with infectious songs and high-energy dance numbers, Hairspray is a joyful celebration of equality, self-confidence, and the unstoppable beat of progress.

Continuing our spotlight on our upcoming 2026-2027 season, and highlighting our new production of THE LIGHT IN THE PIAZZA, which will be on stage for 33 performances from March 14 - April 11,2027!!

Set in 1950s Italy, The Light in the Piazza follows Margaret Johnson and her daughter Clara as a summer trip to Florence changes their lives. When a breeze carries Clara's hat into the hands of a young Italian, Fabrizio, an immediate romance blossoms. Margaret watches anxiously, aware of a secret that shapes Clara's world: a childhood brain injury that left her emotionally fragile and uniquely innocent. As love deepens between Clara and Fabrizio, Margaret must confront her fears, her own loneliness, and the tension between protection and possibility. Cultural differences and family expectations collide, leading to heartbreak, revelation, and hard-won understanding. In the end, Margaret finds the courage to trust in love's imperfect beauty, allowing Clara to step into a future illuminated by hope.

Coming to Riverside in 2027, ON THE TOWN - the classic 1944 musical with music by Leonard Bernstein and lyrics by Betty Comden and Adolph Green, based on a ballet by Jerome Robbins. In On the Town, three sailors—Ozzie, Chip, and Gabey—arrive in New York City with just 24 hours of shore leave and a mission: see the sights, find romance, and make the most of every minute. Chip follows his trusty guidebook, Ozzie pursues every pretty face in sight, and Gabey falls head over heels for a subway poster beauty, "Miss Turnstiles" Ivy Smith. The trio scatters across the city, igniting a whirlwind of comic encounters from the Museum of Natural History to the backseat of a taxi. As night falls, misunderstandings multiply and a parade of police, professors, and fiancés chase the sailors through Manhattan. When Gabey finally finds Ivy at Coney Island, chaos erupts and dawn arrives all too soon. With forgiven hearts and fleeting romances, the sailors head back to sea—just as a new trio arrives, ready to paint the town all over again. There are two shows both Friday and Saturday night at 6:30PM & 8:30PM with two comedians: HEADLINER Greg Hall: With his guitar in hand, Greg delights audiences nationwide with his songwriting, singing, and humorous observations of life in America. And our FEATURE ACT is C.P. Post: Originally from New York City, C.P. Post has performed The New York Renaissance Festival, Las Vegas: The Re-Bar, McCurdy’s Comedy Theater, Florida Studio Theater, as well as numerous venues throughout Florida.
