One of the best parts of answering the phone at the Indian River Symphonic Association is that you never know what conversation awaits. We hear about the love of music, opinions on the best seats, and how fortunate we are to have these high-quality concerts in Vero Beach. Others just want to discuss the weather.

Last week, a woman called to purchase her very first season subscription. She had attended a few concerts with a friend and decided it was time to become a season ticket holder herself. When I asked if she wanted one package, she paused and said, “Actually, make that two. I want to bring my son.” Then she asked about student tickets because her 10-year-old grandson “loves classical music.” I explained our $10 student ticket program, and she assured me she would call back to reserve a seat for him when those tickets go on sale. Three generations. One shared love of music.

I often say that this is “not your grandparents’ symphony.” But after that conversation, I realized something important:

It is your grandparents’ symphony.
And your parents’ symphony.
And your children’s symphony.

Most of all, it’s OUR symphony.

The excitement for our upcoming season has been incredible. In just a three weeks, nearly 500 subscription packages have already been sold. If you're a returning subscriber, you can also renew online (in addition to calling us). If you're new to the symphony family, give us a call at 772-778-1070, and we’ll help you finalize your season tickets.

And while you're at it, feel free to share your symphony story with us...

Or tell us about the weather where you are. 🎻

On February 26, 2027, at 7:30 PM, the Indian River Symphonic Association will host the legendary violinist Midori alongside the prestigious Festival Strings Lucerne at The Community Church of Vero Beach. By purchasing your season tickets now, you guarantee prime seating before individual tickets are released to the general public.

This carefully selected repertoire spans the emotional depth of the Romantic era and the refined wit of the Enlightenment. The centerpiece of the evening is Midori’s interpretation of Tchaikovsky’s Violin Concerto, a work celebrated for its immense technical challenges and soaring melodies.

Led by Artistic Director Daniel Dodds, the orchestra frames this landmark concerto with the dramatic intensity of Beethoven’s Egmont Overture and his jubilant Symphony No. 2. The evening is further enriched by clever, modern tributes to Haydn composed by Maurice Ravel and Helena Winkelman.

As we look ahead to an extraordinary season of live music, we want to make sure you have the best possible seats to witness true orchestral royalty.

On February 23, 2027, at 7:30 PM, the Indian River Symphonic Association proudly presents the third concert in our premier Festival of Orchestras series: the legendary Academy of St Martin in the Fields. By purchasing your season tickets today, you lock in prime seating at The Community Church of Vero Beach before individual tickets sell out for this highly anticipated event.

Formed in 1958 by Sir Neville Marriner from a group of leading London musicians, the Academy of St Martin in the Fields is one of the world's most storied, acclaimed, and thoroughly recorded ensembles. Renowned for their peerless musicianship, brilliant artistry, and a fresh, vibrant sound that has shaped classical music for generations, this is an opportunity to see an iconic powerhouse perform live right in our community.

The Academy will join forces with the visionary pianist and composer Conrad Tao for a meticulously curated program that beautifully bridges European elegance and American innovation. The evening opens with the striking modernist textures of Ruth Crawford Seeger’s Music for Small Orchestra, followed by Tao taking center stage for Mozart’s deeply emotional Piano Concerto No. 23 in A Major. The musical journey concludes with the quintessential, sun-soaked sounds of the American spirit in Aaron Copland’s beloved Appalachian Spring.

The countdown to an unforgettable season of classical music is on, and we want to make sure you have the absolute best view in the house!

On February 15, 2027, at 7:30 PM, we are proud to welcome the Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra for their first performance in the stellar acoustics of The Community Church of Vero Beach.

For this performance, the orchestra welcomes the "rock solid" and "animated" Chia-Hsuan Lin to the podium to guide the ensemble with her trademark command and energy. The evening features a spectacular showcase of virtuosity with Mozart’s exquisite Sinfonia Concertante for Four Winds, highlighting the exceptional artistry of the Orlando Philharmonic’s own principal wind players—Jamie Strefeler (Oboe), Nikolay Blagov (Clarinet), Gabriel Bergeron-Langlois (Bassoon), and August Haller (Horn). This brilliant display is perfectly paired with the youthful charm, melodic grace, and elegance of Schubert’s Symphony No. 5.
