Camp Cedar Ridge: Vernonia, Oregon

We are on our way to opening a Community Center in Vernonia (Vernonia Commons). Step One is the funding which we are generating by serving Breakfast, Lunch and Baked Goods from 6-2. Afterwards we will use the space as a community center. We are celebrating our Grand Opening Event on Friday at 10 AM and then we will start serving food on Saturday Morning 6/13 at 6:00 AM!! Come down and join us this weekend!

Here is a peek at our breakfast menu! We will start serving at 6:00 AM on Saturday morning. Our Grand Opening event will have some samples, but we will not be taking orders until Saturday. We are going to make sure that we have everything dialed in for breakfast before we add lunch in a couple of weeks. For this weekend, it will breakfast from 6 AM-2PM!

Thank you Columbia Health Services for holding your staff retreat at Camp Cedar Ridge! We partner with Columbia Health Services on many projects and love our collaborative partnership with them. It was a joy to have them with us for some well deserved R&R.

So incredibly proud of the five graduating seniors who work at Camp who received community scholarships tonight at the Senior Scholarship Awards Ceremony!! Kate, Addie, Robyn and Luke attended the event. Elam was not there because he was competing in the State Track Championships in Eugene, but his awards were accepted by his brother, Hayden. All five of these accomplished Seniors have also worked in Vernonia Village Youth and Family Enrichment Program. 🥲

We are searching for our next Director of the Vernonia Village Youth and Family Enrichment Program. Fair warning that whoever is chosen, will have enormous shoes to fill because Denetta Barklow (who is leaving for family reasons) is a tough act to follow. 💕 We are enormously grateful for her love and care for the program and the Vernonia Village Youth.

No Afterschool Program on 6/9-Middle School Graduation. See you at the End of Year Party on 6/10.

The will be no Afterschool Program on June 9, due to the Middle School Commencement but we hope to see everyone at the End of Year picnic at Camp on 6/10!

Congratulations to Tyler and Rowan on their beautiful wedding yesterday! When guests order prime rib, our amazing Diego Reyes does the honors of carving. Our pool and Slide and Slide are open. The season has arrived 🙌 😍.
