We lost someone truly unforgettable today.
Amber Honeycutt lived life with a kind of passion and spirit that you don’t come across often. For 16 years, she was part of our haunt family at Nightmare on Main St and Dark Water Asylum. Over those years, she took on many roles, throwing herself into each one with unmatched enthusiasm, energy, and heart. For the last six years, she became one of our main characters — the unforgettable “Crazy Sheila.” She didn’t just play the part — she owned it, and made it something no one else ever could.
Amber was more than just an actress in the haunt. She was my friend there in the off-season too, working alongside me to help bring everything together and get things ready year after year. Her dedication never stopped. She was incredibly talented with her makeup, creating her own looks and helping others in the haunt with theirs, always willing to lend a hand and make everyone around her better.
But who Amber was offstage meant even more. She had the biggest heart — always kind, always loving, and always willing to help anyone in need. She was the kind of person who would give everything she had just to make sure someone else was okay.
Her two children and family were her whole world, and she loved them with everything she had.
This is a tremendous loss for all of us. Our haunt family won’t be the same without her — the laughter, the chaos, and the heart she brought into every night. “Crazy Sheila” was more than a character… she was a legend, because Amber made her one.
Amber, you will always be a part of us. You will never be forgotten, and you will be deeply missed.
