So this was an intense series I made and I am so happy with how it came out! All of the wounds were done by me with SFX makeup and a some editing; it’s not the best but it came out better than I anticipated 🤭 With this series, there’s two main things I wanted: one, these are fictional crime scenes I created based off of if they were victim of a certain folklore creature, hence the title of this series because their homicides are a mystery. I did plan to put a series of sticky notes that had key notes that would point out stuff that didn’t make sense to allow the viewer more context to figure out which creature could of done it but I decided against it because, coming to number two of my idea, I wanted to allow the series to stay open to interpretation. Whether it’s a discussion of romanization of crimes or the invasive way victims and their stories are presented to the world, even against the wishes of the families, I just want there to lots of discussion. I will not say what the mythical beings are, I added a lot but very small hints in all the photos to give an idea but doesn’t confirm. The only hint I’ll give is the cause of death under each image and that all my models are of the same decent of the folklores 😉

Prude can be an insult used for someone who presents to be overly proper or modest. Though, this can be used for women that are considered either lacking in sexual experience or not very romantically forthcoming. As a society, a woman who is “easy” is a w***e yet a woman who rejects certain advances or makes it abundantly clear of her platonic intentions can be slapped with this label.

Was able to find a few pictures of me working on this Chalk art contest piece for City of Vernon, Texas Baconfest 2025; definitely had a great time making this even though my hands are raw and hips/knees are achy from about 6-8hrs of work 😂 I didn’t win but with this being my first time using chalk to create something more realistic, I would definitely say I’m proud of myself and reached another milestone in my artist career 🥰

“Crybaby”
This is a play from the phrase “a man shouldn’t cry”; I though it’s a clown face, there are tears painted on the mask with furrowed eyebrows. This shoot was a representation that though you could be the clown of the group, the guy that always makes others laugh, you could be the one hurting the most, especially in a society that teaches you to hold your emotions back, typically causing most men to burst into fits of anger instead.

“Showboat” is a term used specifically for men that other believe to be a show off due to either behaving flamboyantly or in a flashy manner, however sometimes this term can be used instead as an insult of a man who either likes to have nicer items or dress more sophisticated or clean up better than the average male.
