🎭✨ Piece by piece, the world of But Why Bump Off Barnaby? is starting to come to life! ✨🎭

The walls are officially going up, the set is taking shape, and our amazing crew has been hard at work behind the scenes bringing this production together 💛

Now… before anyone judges the mismatched paint and unfinished pieces 🤪 just remember, this is all part of the magic of theatre! Seeing a set transform from raw construction into a full stage production is one of the best parts.

We can already picture the spotlight hitting this set once it all comes together ✨

Our board president said it great: we’re building a cornerstone of creativity right here in Vernon!

“To be or not to be, that is the question.” For the Little Playhouse on the Prairie, they chose to be and are bringing community theater to Vernon.

Rehearsals for our summer play have officially begun!

We’re in the goofy stage where random objects stand in for the yet to be built set. A shopping cart marks a fireplace, a tv tray plays the part of a desk, and water bottles stand in for all the small handheld props in between!

It’s always fun to watch a show come to life over the course of rehearsals. We’ll be sharing snapshots as we continue to take you on the journey with us!

Little Playhouse is pleased to announce the cast for our 2026 Summer Production!

We are so grateful for all who auditioned! Thank you for putting yourself out there, sharing your time and talents, and trusting us with these tough decisions. MANY auditioned, and our casting committee had no easy job this year making these selections.

We look forward to presenting a great show to our community later this summer! Be sure to follow along for behind the scenes snapshots as we gear up for opening night!

No experience or preparation needed! Come as you are!

Please keep in mind that many will audition, but the directors can only cast so many in this production. The more prepared (and polite) you are, the better your chances to be cast!

We’re thrilled to share that one of our founding board members now is a certified nonprofit professional!

Taylor Edmonds has spent the last two quarters attending targeted classes with the Center for Nonprofit Management & Leadership at MSU Texas
to bolster her knowledge of all things charitable.

While she was already a wonderful asset to our board, these lessons on fundraising, strategic planning, legal compliance, public relations, and so much more will make her even stronger.

Thank you, Taylor, for your willingness to serve, lead, and grow!
