Hi! My name is Leanne and I love to draw. :) My name is Leanne and I'm an illustrator and artist based in Vernon, CT.

After many years spent as a graphic designer in the corporate world, I've returned to my roots and am pursuing my childhood dream of drawing for a living. My work often combines imagery and hand lettering to depict the whimsy of animals and nature. I'm also interested in exploring the meaning of family and promoting gender equality. In 2022, I self-published my first children’s book, Lily and Aste

r. I find inspiration in my two young daughters, who actively participate in all my creative endeavors. My artwork has been displayed in the CWA Annual National Open Juried Exhibit at Arts Center East, as well as published in UPPERCASE magazine’s offspring periodical, Little U, and Jess Goldsmith’s Women of Type book. Looking back through sketches. Sometimes I prefer these rougher, B&W versions of my work. There’s an energy and simplicity captured in the strokes. The birth of an idea, traveling from the deepest corners of my mind, out through my fingertips, and into the visual world.

The little ladies who started it all! 😍 My oldest inadvertently made the artwork for our first IWD shirt design back in 2019 and it was the perfect introduction to feminism, gender equality and donating to a good cause. While I’ve taken over the annual designs, my girls are my ever-present art directors and we look forward to donating the profits to a different charity each year. Makes for some important discussions and we truly appreciate all of the support and encouragement we’ve gotten from so many of you! Coming this Friday - She Will Break the Rules. For our 5th annual International Women’s Day fundraiser, we’ll have a variety of tees, onesies, stickers, prints and notebooks available for purchase. From Friday through the entire month of March, 100% of the profits will be donated to Global Fund For Women to support the goal of global gender equality and their Palestine Feminist Anti-Violence Movement.

She Will Break the Rules
