Hotel Vernal Haunt is on the HUNT for charitable causes to support! 💀
You heard that right: Hotel Vernal Haunt back for our FINAL chapter in 2026! 👻 The Haunt is a proud contributor to our community and all proceeds are committed to local charitable causes and organizations. To our amazing community, we say "Thank You!" for all of your support. The volunteers, actors, organizing committee and sponsors have made this amazing annual event possible.
The Hotel Vernal Haunt organizing committee seeks local charity causes to support in 2026. There are many spectacular charities in the Basin and the Haunt Committee will select up to 3 charities to benefit.
Priority and preference will be given to charitable causes or organizations based on the following factors:
1. The charity must be a non-profit organization
2. They must be committed to helping people in the Uintah Basin
3. The charity must serve a group of individuals and not just one person
4. The receiving charity must be willing to volunteer their time and efforts to help the Haunt succeed. There are many ways to help including construction, clean up, promotion, security or acting.
To be considered, the charity group should submit a "Letter of Interest" to the committee by Wednesday, June 10th. The letter of interest should include:
1. The purpose of the organization
2. How the charity funds will be used
3. The commitment of the organization to help the Haunt with volunteers & promotion
4. The letter of interest should be kept to one page
The letters will be presented to a Haunt organizing committee where they will be voted on.
