The Art Box Studio is a Process based art studio which means that as an art educator I value the “process” of art making and not the “product” of art making. This why you won’t see many canvas paintings of the same object. My goal is to teach artistic behavior so that my students can take the techniques and skills that they learn in my classes and use them anytime they want to make something creative. I always encourage individuality and expression in every project we make at Art Box Studio even though we practice with a theme or particular object. With preschool only minimal guidelines are used so that each child can express themselves through creativity. Whether you choose to enroll your child with Art Box or any other local studio my hope is that you consider whether it is cookie cutter art or if they are learning artistic behaviors or not. I love teaching art, and I love getting to know each individual student, I feel that relationships are essential to helping children learn.
