It was a beautiful day for pleine air painting by the Missouri River! We had participants representing a wide range of ages, including some very talented youth! They did some beautiful work! Hope to do this again at next year's River Honoring Celebration! Thank you, everyone who participated.

Hope to see you all at the a River Honoring celebration Sunday. Pleine air painting at 3:00. (Open to all. There will be paintng supplies.) Kids' activities 4:00-6:30. Potluck at 6, and music by East of Westerville at 6:30!

We are so looking forward to this workshop! Most of us who meet weekly to paint are amateurs with little to no art training. Perfect for us beginners.

The Missouri River Watercolor Society is hosting a watercolor workshop Saturday, Oct 23, 2021 from 10am to 2pm in the First Dakota Coyote Gallery. All ages and levels are welcome! Register for the workshop at vermculture.org by noon Friday so we can get a head count!

Janet Beeman, a professional art educator, will guide the group in choosing and blending colors to create light and shadow, special effects, and effective colors for the images you want to paint. Basic materials list will be provided, as will a light lunch.

This is the first in a series of quarterly watercolor workshops that will run through 2022. Each session will emphasize a different skill:
Oct 23 – Color!
Jan 22 – Imagining Landscape
April 23 – Let Go and Paint Dangerously
July 23 – Florals Up Close
