Arts Guild of Vermilion The Arts Guild of Vermilion is an artist's community that showcases over 30 member artists & their work.

The Gallery is located inside the Main Street Vermilion Administrative Building. It's open from Spring through Christmas featuring Seasonal Art Shows. The objectives of the Vermilion Arts Guild are
- To sponsor events to support and showcase member artists and their work.
- To provide art activities that support and enhance local events
- To feature special art shows, events, exhibitions and cla

sses to draw regional support for the city of Vermilion.
- To develop partnerships with other local groups in and around Vermilion to promote the arts.

Community Artists Needed! Help Bring Vermilion's New Mural to Life

The design is complete - now we need artists to help bring it to life!

The Arts Guild of Vermilion is looking for community members to help paint a large outdoor mural celebrating Vermilion and all that makes our community special. You don't have to create the design the artwork has already been planned. We simply need helping hands to transfer the design onto the wall and add the color that will make it come alive.

Whether you're an experienced painter or just enjoy being part of creative community projects, we'd love to have you join us. This is a unique opportunity to work alongside fellow artists, meet new people, and leave your mark on a public artwork that residents and visitors will enjoy for years to come.

Hello, Artists!
I’m excited to announce that Chalk It Up is back — Saturday, August 1st in Victory Park, downtown Vermilion!

HOW IT WORKS:

Once again we will use chalk foam boards provided by Main Street Vermilion — prepped with black chalk paint and ready to go. You’ll also receive a chalk to create your design.

You have two great options:

Option 1: Create on Event Day

Board size: 48" x 48"
Time: 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM
Location: Victory Park

We have full use of the gazebo in Victory Park - offering shade while you work

Hairspray will be provided for layering and setting colors

Be sure to add your name to the front or back of your board

Boards will be available for pick-up starting July 6 at the Main Street Vermilion building (685 Main Street).

Option 2: Take-Home Creation

Board size: 30" x 40"

Pick up your board ahead of time from Main Street Vermilion (685 Main Street)

Create your chalk art at home

Return the finished piece the week of the July 27th

These boards will be displayed on racks in the old firehouse on
August 1 (10 AM – 2 PM)

Remember to add your name to your board

*** Please have take home boards turned in by July 30th so we can set up on Friday July 31st

In recognition of the United States celebrating its 250th anniversary our theme is USA 250, but you can choose your own theme also - we don’t want to limit your creativity

All artwork must be family-friendly and nonpolitical

After the Event:

Chalkboards will be displayed at Ritter Public Library during the month of August.
After Labor Day:

Boards will be available for “purchase” through donations to Main Street Vermilion

• Artists must be 16 years of age or older to participate independently.
• Artists 16 and 17 are welcome to participate with a parent or guardian assisting with registration and transportation of artwork.
