Centre for Art and Talk

Ventura’s New “Vaquero Y Mar” will provide a space for people to gather together and share their ideas via monologues. We can network in person, in an inspiring environment. The venue is intimate, ideally with 6 people at (post COVID up to 6 tables) one table, each table having its own separate topic. We take turns talking for up to 5 minutes and asking a question of other speakers per hour...with

out interruption (supported by a facilitator) to complete an hour. Half hour discussions can naturally follow each hour session. This can either be done inside/outside on our patio or over a “Vaquero Y Mar” meal & drink...or at a local business venue. At the CAT, participants listen to the person speaking (wearing a mask) until it's their turn, similar in concept to an exchange of the Talking Stick from past generations. We will open the doors at noon November 19, Thursday by appointment (subject to change) and sessions will be going on onward as scheduled. Live music will play indoor/outdoor (subject to change)

Guest speakers will be regular occurrence with local and world topics. All this will take place in an art gallery setting (to be announced). We will feature several artist paintings and other art for sale and sometimes live art displays. we have an event room that sits comfortably up to 40 people for small networking seminars, art showings and community gatherings (to be announced)
