This collapsible painting easel once belonged to Dave Rykata, who was Jarrett’s painting coach at the Venice Art Center. Many may recognize Dave from photos on Jarrett’s page. Sadly, Dave passed away some time ago, and he entrusted this easel to Jarrett with the wish that it be donated.

We would love to see it go to a local artist, school, or studio where it can continue to be used and appreciated. Please help us spread the word. We’re also happy to deliver it to the right home.

✨ Welcome back to Jarrett's Voice Through Art! ✨

So much has happened since our last update — and we’re excited to share that Jarrett continues to grow as an artist and jewelry designer.

Many of his paintings were created at the Venice Art Center with guidance from mentors Dave Rykata and Jameson Donoian. Recently, you’ll often find him painting in a shared garage studio with Dad — music playing and creativity flowing across genres he loves.

Jarrett’s journey creating jewelry began while attending Loveland Center, and it has become a calming and therapeutic outlet that strengthens focus and fine motor skills. He now works weekly with coach Elaine in our home studio, continuing to refine technique and expression.

You may have seen Jarrett’s work at local shows including:

Art as Expression

Jarrett is a young adult with Autism who lives in Florida with his parents. To read more about his biography, check out the About section of this page.

In terms of his art career, Jarrett developed a passion for art which blossomed while he attended high school in Argenta, IL, and he continues to value art as an outlet today. Since his move to Florida, he has attended Loveland Center as a member and begun art lessons at the Venice Art Center. His instructor, Dave, has pushed Jarrett to expand his art forms. Through this, Jarrett has created different pieces and grown his abilities.

Jarrett is supported by all of his friends and family. With regard to this art work, he is supported by his mom, dad, and uncle, all of Florida. For media, his sister living in Wisconsin. While Jarrett does have an Etsy store, his team is still influx, working out the details of a functional store from Florida.
