𝐇𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐝? 📣 The City of Venice has selected the Venice Institute for Performing Arts Management (VIPAM) to operate the City-owned Venice Community Center beginning Oct. 1, 2026.
VIPAM was chosen through a competitive proposal and evaluation process to manage, maintain, market and schedule the facility. Its proposal emphasized community use, expanded services for event organizers and improvements to the facility and guest experience.
The Community Center, at 326 Nokomis Ave. S., has historically been operated by Sarasota County through an interlocal agreement. When that agreement expires Sept. 30, the City will resume responsibility for the facility.
VIPAM’s management plan includes a “one-stop shop” approach offering expanded event services such as food and beverage, audio and lighting, as well as seasonal pricing, community partnerships and facility enhancements.
⚠️ Transition work is underway, including contacting existing event organizers. 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐛𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐎𝐜𝐭. 𝟏 𝐦𝐚𝐲 𝐧𝐨𝐰 𝐛𝐞 𝐬𝐮𝐛𝐦𝐢𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡 𝐕𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲𝐂𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫.𝐜𝐨𝐦 𝐨𝐫 𝐛𝐲 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐕𝐈𝐏𝐀𝐌 𝐃𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐎𝐮𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐡 𝐄𝐥𝐢 𝐉𝐚𝐬𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐭 𝐞𝐥𝐢.𝐣𝐚𝐬𝐨𝐧@𝐯𝐢𝐩𝐚𝐦.𝐨𝐫𝐠 𝐨𝐫 𝟗𝟒𝟏-𝟐𝟏𝟖-𝟑𝟕𝟕𝟗, 𝐞𝐱𝐭. 𝟏𝟎𝟖.
