Amanda Gorman is the Youngest Inaugural Poet in U.S. history, as well as an award-winning writer and cm laude graduate of Harvard University, where she studied Sociology. She has written for the New York Times and has three books just released with Penguin Random House. Born and raised in Los Angeles, she began writing at only a few years of age, and took her first poetry class at age 14 at Beyond Baroque; a year later Amanda became the first LA Youth Poet Laureate, a program developed by Ubran Word with Beyond Baroque, who is the fiscal sponsor.
