Final polishing touches to LIMITLESS, a voyage for the senses back to the beginnings and the future.

.
A BEGINNING came at the perfect time as we are off to the moon again! Where did it all begin? How did it all begin? What did The Beginning look like from the edge of our new universe?

These are some of the questions that float through my mind as I gaze at our moon and ponder our

I ’ve spared you from the grueling scenes of frustration, exhaustion and, yes, uncertainty
that comes along with the creation of a piece of this magnitude. Moments of tears screams and laughs dance throughout this project and threw it all when all of a sudden done had a good night. Rest is on the horizon. The feeling that persists is joy.

Time does tick by. Sorrow remains the same, if not heightened, while the chronic pain subsides. Creating art is not only cathartic but mandatory in my world. It goes beyond therapy. It is my life.
I lost my husband to cancer in 2019 and immediate put everything I had into my ash memorial art including this small cremation ash piece. Gazing at it brings tears of sorrow, laughter and peace.

When I lost my Dad, who was also an artist, I was immediately going to create an honorable memorial for him with his ashes. It took me 1.5 years to get to a place of healing to begin this memorial work.

You don’t just forget your lost loved ones. You don’t “get over it”. But you can heal.
Through the creative process and final outcome, I help others with the overwhelming loss of a loved one.
My sympathies to those who have had this experience or are going through it. I am here to help by offering a way to memorialize your lost one through memorial art.

And the adventure continues with
A BEGINNING
50” x 50” x 5”
Mixed Media with Resin

As I contemplate and question how our universe began and what that would have looked like ,my work becomes deeper and more complex , not only in meaning but, in the architecture and construction of the piece. Hence, the ever growing stories in my mind become more vivid, yet, remain abstract.

A BEGINNING has been no different. A very challenging piece! The largest resin work I’ve ever done. I Vs had to pop out creative ways to handle ways to portray these stories, ideas and emotions in a fresh new way What ideas or stories come to your mind? Please share!

STAY TUNED! for
A BEGINNING, part 3!!

A BEGINNING
50” x 50” x 5”

Have you ever just played on your back and been able to see a million stars? Or contemplated the awe of how the Universe may have begun? That is THE BEGINNING.

Many hours plus 5 layers of resin and this is what emerged from some of my own contemplations.
