Yesterday’s gardening class was such a great day.
Seeing so many people come out, spend time together, learn, laugh, meet new people, and just enjoy being part of the day was exactly what we hoped The Hollow would become.
The kids also helped us start our new Rock Garden!! They painted rocks, added their names, date and designs, and left one at The Hollow. As more families come to future events, we’ll keep adding to it — and over time, it will become a really special way to look back and see all the families who have been part of The Hollow along the way.
And this is only the beginning!! We’re getting ready to fill up the calendar with classes, events, gardening, family activities, emergency preparedness, community projects and so much more.
A special shout out to Karen Kelly Schaack for all the time and effort she put into planning and teaching such a wonderful class... and another big thank you to all of our volunteers for all of your help. We truly couldn’t do this without you.
And of course, thank you to everyone who came out and spent the day with us. It was all so natural, like we have always all been together... we’re so glad you were there.
