I've started building Kontakt virtual instruments. I have a few in the works that won't be free, but here's a cute one that is free.
I sampled my 6-year-old's toy keyboard, and called it Toy Synth.

1. Download both Equalizer APO and Peace.
* Equalizer APO - https://sourceforge.net/projects/equalizerapo/
* Peace for APO - https://sourceforge.net/projects/peace-equalizer-apo-extension/?source=directory
2. Install Equalizer APO first
3. Install Peace next
Go through the config and choose both your usb headphones, and your usb mic, if you want to control both.
Restart computer.
Run Peace and select the simple interface.
Now you can select the microphone from the device list, and eq it, and boost it's input.
