Historically, May 1st is Loyalty Day - a moment to reaffirm our heritage and freedom, a celebration that often gets lost in the shuffle of modern life. (You will learn there might be a little obsession with obscure or forgotten holidays over here, and we're not ashamed to admit it!)

At Iola, we believe freedom isn’t something granted to us from afar; it is something we cultivate right here, in the company we keep, the soil we tend, and the memories we create.

Our loyalty belongs to the island. Ya know? To the air sweet with the scent of blooming flowers, the quiet of the morning when the world is still, and the neighbors who make this place a sanctuary. It's a loyalty that runs deep; a commitment to this land, this community, and the values that bring us together.

This May, we’re opening the gates to reclaim that connection. Our Loyalty Residency begins May 1st.

They asked us what "April Eve" means. Well, this very made-up holiday means... to us... that the island is finally awakening from its slumber and stretching toward the sun. 🌞

It’s that specific moment when the bits of sun between the rain feel welcome, not like a winter farce. The windows stay open a little longer. We finally trade our heavy wool for thinner layers. We start to believe the hype.

We're celebrating this new beginning by opening the barn and garden to a casual evening of wine, tapas, fine weather, and good folks.
