Vandergrift Artfest The Vandergrift Artfest: Sunday, July 26, 2026 from noon to 9 pm

The Vandergrift Arts Festival celebrates arts and the community with artist booths, live art, painted palette displays, live music, children's art activities, food, and more. It is organized by the Vandergrift Improvement Program (VIP), a nonprofit community revitalization organization.

Ok...don't worry, it's not THAT kind of volunteer! But Artfest is in need of lots of volunteers to help make sure that this is a great day for Vandergrift and the broader community. Volunteers 12 and up may volunteer independently and those under 12 may volunteer with a parent or guardian. Students needing to accrue volunteer hours will be presented with a certificate to take back to school in the fall as proof of service. Volunteers who commit to more than 4 hours will get a free amazing art fest t-shirt! If you wanted to find a way to get involved in the community but didn't know where to start, this is a great place to dive in, meet some people, and have a great day. Volunteers are needed on Saturday evening and then from sun up to sundown on Sunday July 26th . Artfest is pleased to announce that we will once again be awarding a $1,000 scholarship to a local student who will be studying an area of the arts in higher education in the fall of 2026. The scholarship is funded through the sale of palettes after the festival is over. Applications are due by July 12th. Follow the link below to review the application. Don't forget that on Monday, June 1 all registration fees for Artfest will increase by $25 in all categories! Take a moment this weekend to get your application in if you're hoping to participate in this year's event. With our theme of Strange Encounters in the Grift for this summer's Artfest in Vandergrift, we are on the hunt for some fabulous inflatables to help spread the cryptid vibe. These would of course be in addition to the works of art provided by our artfest crew and the pallete painters. If you have any themed inflatables or other decorative items that you think would add to the festival, please message us! We would love to borrow them and we'll take care of them the best we possibly can . We hope that all of the storefronts on Grant and Columbia are thinking about how to decorate for this year's theme, too! Here are some samples borrowed from the internet!
