BioFX Tattoo opened in May 2015, built by longtime artist Dave Graham and rooted firmly in Vancouver’s no‑nonsense, rain‑weathered tattoo culture. The studio sits at 10704 NE Fourth Plain Blvd — a spot where craft, history, and a little Northwest stubbornness come together. Dave started tattooing in 1989 under Larry “Bone$” Haddick at Portland’s iconic SeaTramp Tattoo, learning the trade the old‑s

chool way: machines humming, flash on the walls, and zero shortcuts. The two later opened Dragonfly Tattoo, the first tattoo shop in Vancouver, helping carve out the city’s tattoo scene long before it was trendy. Dave’s tattoo roots trace back to the 1920s through Amund Dietzel — a pioneer whose influence shaped generations. Dietzel taught Phil Sparrow, who mentored Cliff Raven, who trained Bone$, who passed that legacy on to Dave. Today, Dave continues that tradition by mentoring award‑winning artists who carry the same grit and respect for the craft. BioFX Tattoo stands as a Northwest original — built on legacy, sharpened by experience, and committed to honest, high‑quality work.
