I met Charlie almost a decade ago and became friends, bonding through music - to nobody's surprise. I learned stick tricks a long time ago and have been bringing them back slowly. A chorus riding the crash cymbal is the perfect place to do it!

Transitions are everything for a song. Coming out of the chorus, I wanted to get time to groove and let the drums do some talking.

Waiting to feel qualified is a trap. You get there by building evidence that you are who you think you are.

Think of it like legs of a stool. If you only have one or two, you'll be quite wobbly. add that third and fourth leg and it gets more stable. The key is building proof.

You don't need permission. You need to take action.

All But Denied's "Moving On" is out today, so I had to celebrate by throwing some sticks around.

Came back from a jog and wrote this in about 6 hours. 25 years of work in the room means sometimes the song just comes out.

It's about the changes I've been making. Letting go of what was holding me back and moving toward the people who carry the same dreams.

Quick fills and accents building tension until the chorus opens everything up. That's the job of a prechorus and that's what this is.

I made music for decades. I just never let myself be the one it was for.

Your music is worthless on a hard drive. I lived in that almost finished zone for decades. I found the exit. Looking for others that are still looking for the roadmap.
