Valhalla Tea Company

Valhalla Tea Company A veteran-owned business that brings the highest quality, loose-leaf tea blends to your front door. Made by Veterans to help Veterans.

We started Valhalla Tea Company in early 2021 with the mission to bring amazingly handcrafted, loose-leaf tea blends to your front door. We put our money were our mouth is by donating a portion of the proceeds for every product sold to Veteran Non-Profits. This directly helps fund their programs that assist in reintegration programs for homeless and addicted veterans, community building post milit

ary service, and assisting with mental health needs. We promise never to lose sight of this mission and will always hold ourselves accountable. To date we've been able to raise and disperse over $4400+ with more raised every day! We're more than just a tea company however. Our goal is to celebrate cultural diversity. At VTC we put a lot of thought into each one of our champions selected to represent our handcrafted blends. We started with the raw ingredients and attached it to a cultural warrior to become the stewards of our brand. Anxiety, depression and PTSD effect everyone, regardless of race, religion or sex and needs to be addressed as a human issue. Together we can all live a healthier lifestyle. So choose your hero and fuel your warrior!

If you’re a fan of a strong, no-nonsense cup of tea, Elementary is right up your alley!

This is our take on an English Breakfast blend, built from bold Assam and Sumatra black teas that bring a deep, malty richness with just the right touch of spice. It’s got that old-school, detective-in-a-smoky-study sort of thing going on. Dark, smooth, and satisfying.

In Korea, tea is seen as a way of cultivating harmony, respect, and inner peace with your guests. The traditional tea ceremony, known as Darye (다례), dates back centuries and is rooted in simplicity and mindfulness.

The tea is prepared using simple, beautiful utensils, often in a serene environment meant to promote a sense of tranquility and rest. Guests and the hosts sit comfortably, sharing in silence or soft conversation. Green tea is usually the type of tea used due to its simplicity and bright flavor.

The tea is poured into small cups with graceful, deliberate movements, reflecting respect for both the tea and the guests.

Real Hero Highlight: Leroy Petry

On May 26, 2008, Army Ranger Staff Sergeant Leroy Petry (born 1979) and his fellow Rangers were conducting a mission in Afghanistan when they came under enemy fire. During the battle, an enemy gr***de landed near Petry and two fellow Rangers and Petry grabbed the gr***de and threw it away from his teammates. The gr***de exploded as it left his hand, severely injuring him and resulting in the loss of his right hand.

Despite his wounds, Petry continued to fight, helping coordinate the defense and ensuring the safety of his fellow soldiers. For his extraordinary courage and selfless actions, he was awarded the Medal of Honor.

Tea chests, now referred to as "tea caddies", are a pretty good idea, even in modern times, to avoid pesky roommates from skimming a bit off the top of your treasured tea.

Moroccan Tea Ritual: A Symbol of Hospitality

Ceremonies and rituals don't need to be lavish, complicated events. They can be as simple as a kind gesture to guests, carried out in a special way. In Morocco, serving tea is a gesture of hospitality and friendship. Mint tea, often made with green tea and fresh mint, is poured from a height to create a delicate froth, showcasing skill and honoring guests and their company.

This isn’t just one cup; the ritual involves multiple rounds, each cup symbolizing warmth and connection. Next time you sip tea, remember: sometimes, a simple cup can bring people closer together. 👊

Warrior Highlight: Scottish Highland warriors

Scottish Highland warriors were fierce fighters drawn from the clans of the Highlands, active from the medieval period through the 18th century. Bound by loyalty to family and tradition, they fought with a direct and aggressive style that emphasized speed and shock.

Armed with claymores, dirks, and targe shields, they often charged headlong into enemy lines, relying on momentum and close combat skill to break formations. Their knowledge of rugged terrain and deep sense of identity made them formidable opponents. In battle, Highland warriors fought not just for victory, but for honor, kin, and clan.

Suutei Tsai is Mongolia’s take on milk tea, but instead of sweet, it’s warm, savory, and packed with comfort.

Made by simmering black tea with milk, a pinch of salt, and sometimes butter or flour, it’s a staple in Mongolian homes and nomadic life. This rich, nourishing drink is perfect for cold climates and long days on the steppe. It’s always served to guests as a sign of hospitality, often alongside dairy snacks or a hearty meal.

Try it at home!
