I'm working towards a two person show with Kimberlee Wixom at the Hilton Convention Center in Vancouver scheduled for April-June. We're calling it "The Joy of Letting Go - Adventures in Fluid Art". This piece - mixed media on canvas, 24 x 24, still untitled (suggestions welcome!) - will be part of the exhibit. Details to come.

Tomorrow is Artist Sunday, so designated by who knows who. It's one of those commercial constructs, but it also points to the reality that artists need your support. I know of two Vancouver artists - Tom Reith and Don Gray - who've made a special effort to show their work online for sale. Also, next Friday is the opening of the Small Wonders show at Art at the Cave in Vancouver. Art work is priced for holiday giving, $150 or less. I have three pieces in this show, including Magic Bush, 12 x 12, $95.

A four panel artwork is called a quadriptych or tetrapthych. (I had to look it up.) This is my version, 24" high by 48" wide, the front acrylic on canvas and the back acrylic on fabric. Since it's hinged, it can be displayed in various configurations on a table or fitted for wall hanging. I've considered naming it "Does It Ever Get Easier?"

For those who weren't able to attend the opening of my show, "Infinity Pool", I invite you to visit when I'm there. The first of these times will be Wednesday, August 27, 2-4 PM, and the second will be Sunday, September 14, 11:30-1. It will be fun to show you the art and talk about it. If neither of these times work for you, contact me at [email protected] and we'll arrange a private viewing.
The Chapel Gallery at First Presbyterian Church in Portland is part of a consortium of downtown churches with galleries and active art programs. Here's the webpage about my exhibition - https://www.firstpresportland.org/music-arts/visual-arts/ The information you need is there but, just in case: First Presbyterian Church, Chapel Gallery, enter through church office, 610 SW 13th Avenue, Portland.
Captions welcome for the photo.

Visitor hours are Tuesday through Thursday, 10:00 am – 4:00 pm, and Sundays from 11:30 am – 1:00 pm. For gallery access, go to the church office entrance on 13th Street (between Morrison & Alder).

Here I am at the intersection of "Agua" and "Vida", Water and Life, in Seville, Spain - where I'll be metaphorically when my solo show opens in Portland. The theme is "Infinity Pool", delving into the mysteries of abstract liquid art.

It opens at the First Presbyterian Church gallery on August 3 with a reception at noon. The most complete exhibit of my artwork in over two years, it will run August 3-September 28. I've been working on new paintings for you to see and I hope you'll join me at the opening or visit while the show is up. The details are on the poster.
