As part of my tribute to MPA, since we're saying goodbye to the studio that became my second home, I'm sharing some snippets of the first show we showcased there, Honk Jr. I miss the people I acted with (we were babies!!) and I'm grateful for the opportunity to play Ugly. It gave me the perspective that it's okay to be different, and as a 13-year-old kid, that was really valuable!

I know I'm late to this World Theater Day celebration (it was on 3/27) but this girl is a working student! 😜 Anyway, I am grateful for the love and support MPA gave me. It is where the seeds of courage to share my passion were planted and nurtured, and, more importantly, where I found my lifelong connections! 💚

It's World Theatre Day today and we at MPA want to extend a thank you to every single person brave enough to take part in creating art, on stage and behind the scenes. To the writers, the designers, the costumers, the lighting and sound technicians, the builders and painters, the actors, the directors, the music directors, the musicians, the choreographers, the board members, the marketers, the fundraisers, the stage managers, the house managers, the producers, the sponsors, the ushers, the concessions-sellers, and of course, the audiences. Without one of these roles, theatre is not possible. But when we all come together and use our strengths to create, we make magic.

Happy World Theatre Day to each and every one of you who helps make MPA possible. We are forever grateful to you.

A month ago today, we celebrated my Auntie Jovelyn Rosil Luarez’ birthday in Cantilan by singing our hearts out! We did a practice run at Libtong Cove before the big day! She made sure we always had something to eat while we were in Surigao, so she deserved to be entertained! 🥰
