Thank goodness St. Patrick’s Day has come early! Hey Steve Winogradsky and myself up in Toronto and watching Brandon Mildly.Impressive.Music and in a wonderful wedding. What wonderful people. And a pleasure to work and play music together.

Of course, the Trump administration is attacking the music Industry once again. The administration is afraid of people coming together, and creating peace and harmony with a diversity of individuals. 

🎺 URGENT ADVOCACY ALERT: Proposed 25% Tariff on Brass Instruments

The U.S. Department of Commerce has proposed adding brass-wind instruments, parts, and accessories to tarriffs.

What this means for music education:

🎺 Higher Costs: Up to a 25% price increase on trumpets, trombones, tubas, French horns, and repair parts.

🏫 School Budget Strain: Additional financial burden on already tight music program budgets.

🎶 Barriers for Students: Increased costs for families renting or buying instruments, disproportionately impacting low-income communities.

📣 Take Action Before August 27, 2026!
Music educators, parents, and advocates can submit a public comment to the U.S. Department of Commerce explaining how this proposed tariff would impact local programs. AND/OR contact your local members of Congress!!

The last weekend is coming up! Bridges of Madison County (the musical). Fantastic show. Support live musicians and local actors. Francesca Johnson, a beautiful Italian woman who married an American soldier to flee war-ravaged Italy, looks forward to a rare four days alone on her Iowa farm when her family heads to the 1965 State Fair.

When ruggedly handsome, National Geographic photographer, Robert Kincaid, pulls into her driveway seeking directions, though, what happens in those four days may very well alter the course of Francesca's life.

Steve Winogradsky and I are in the pit orchestra. I "volunteered" to do a short talent show tune. Great fundraiser for Magenta Theater. Great actors and vocalists for the musical.
