This juried art fair presents a variety of mediums including oil paintings, metal sculpture, pottery, jewelry, photography, fiber, glass, leather and more. The artists are mostly Texas-based and join together for this event to create a really special experience for attendees.
A variety of talented musicians perform authentic Texas Jazz and Americana music throughout the day in the pavilion with gourmet coffee, wine, and chocolates, chalk art, and more. Ginny Mac adds to the “sidewalk cafe in Paris” ambience with her dynamic group that brings a fresh and exciting twist to vocal and instrumental music stylings.
Not only will the Van Go Art Fair feature locally-made wines from area vineyards, but the food trucks and culinary offerings are hand-picked to complement the wines. Try the gourmet grilled cheese sandwiches, pizza, authentic Mexican food with an Island twist, grilled meats, popsicles, and more — plenty of choices for the whole family.
The Van Go Costume Contest offers a $200 cash prize to the best “Dress Like a Famous Painting” competition. Another activity during the day includes a large Van Gogh painting backdrop for selfies. This is also a pet-friendly event.
