The California Jazz Foundation recently introduced the 2026 Executive Committee and new President Michael Dolphin. CJF Founder Edythe Bronston will remain very active, and serve as President Emeritus of the organization she began with a few friends in 2006 around her dining room table to help California jazz musicians in crisis. With her vision and dedication, it began with one musician, and to date CJF has helped over 700 who were in need.

Now leading CJF, President Michael Dolphin brings a wealth of background in jazz. Over the last 24 years, he has been co-producer and host of the Central Avenue Jazz Festival and the founding principal/ producer of the Legends of Los Angeles Awards. He is passionately dedicated to the recognition of Central Avenue as a significant era of music history. Michael joined the CJF board in 2000 previously serving as Vice President.

Now celebrating a 20 year Anniversary, CJF counts on community support with donations and membership dues, along with funds raised at the annual GIVE THE BAND A HAND Gala.
