Looking for 11 members to start a 12 month BOM (Block of the Month) club. We will do 1 instructed block per month, with 1 local (in Clive) weekend day retreat per month and each person will end up with a quilt at the end of the year. Come make friends, and learn to quilt! No cost for instruction. Each meet up will have a small fee to cover food and drink. If interested please comment below!

Each year, the first weekend in December, Van Meter Community Development hosts a community holiday celebration. The Holiday are Sweeter in Van Meter is where our community and businesses rally together and have fun for all ages.
The crowds continue to grow in attendance which is not surprising since our community is in an exciting growth mode!
All proceeds from The Holidays are Sweeter in Van Meter go back into our community. Our past projects include building a new park in our downtown area. We are currently focusing on raising funds to help build trails for our community.
