Valparaiso University- Sigma Lambda Gamma

The Delta Zeta Chapter of Sigma Lambda Gamma was founded in the fall of 2015 with a line of 8 women.

The Gamma's sought to empower not only the women of the Valparaiso community but, globally. Sigma Lambda Gamma strives to promote diversity and cultural awareness on a daily basis as well as the principles of academics, community service, morals and ethics, and social interaction.

Today we look back to June 19th, 1865, when enslaved Texans were finally freed after over two years of the Emancipation Proclamation being signed.

Since then, this day has marked as a celebration of freedom, progress, and a reminder of the ongoing fight for justice and equality.
