Fresh off the press! 12 x 16 Acrylic Painting entitled ‘Nocturnal Lepidoptera’. (Available for purchase $90) Lepidoptera is the insect classification for moths and butterflies. Lepis (Greek for Scale) + pteron (Greek for wing). God’s creation never fails to inspire.

Cordia’s Shadow, Acrylic Painting, 18 x 24 (Not For Sale) The Scarlet Cordia tree is tough enough to endure the salty spray of the sea. It blooms with bright red/orange flowers despite the heat and harsh conditions near the seashore in tropical areas. The word Cordia means ‘heart’ (perfect for the month this work was finished in) but more than likely came from the German botanist, Valerius Cordus. I always learn something from God’s creation! ❤️ I am welcoming the development of qualities shown in this plant in 2025!

Some have been inquiring about details of the current show, Art + Innovation. It is up now through January 10th at 2 locations near to one another. First, Roots Market Cafe which is open M-F 9-5pm and Sun 10-4pm. Secondly, Lower Lincoln, which houses half of the show as well. They are in the building downtown with Buffalo Wild Wings. Their (unique work and event) space will be available in November on Wednesdays from 8-4pm and by appointment. Myself and 2 other fabulous artists have work there for visual enjoyment and sale. Thank you to the Valparaiso Creative Council for making this opportunity possible! .valpo
