Hello UDA Families,

Great news — power has been restored to United Dance Arts!

We are happy to announce that classes will begin as scheduled tomorrow, Monday, August 17th. We are excited to finally kick off our new season and welcome everyone back to the studio!

Thank you all for your patience, flexibility, and understanding over the past several days. We know the uncertainty surrounding the outage was inconvenient, and we truly appreciate everyone working with us while we waited for power to be safely restored.

There is no need to wait for a noon update tomorrow. All Monday classes will proceed according to our regular schedule.

Please double-check your dancer's class time, pack their dance shoes and attire, and get ready for a great first week!

We can't wait to see our dancers, families, and instructors back at UDA and get the 2026–2027 season underway!

Hello UDA Families,

We wanted to provide everyone with a quick update regarding the power outage and the start of classes.

At this time, we anticipate beginning classes as scheduled on Monday, August 17th, provided power has been restored to the studio. NIPSCO has informed us that power could be restored at any time; unfortunately, they have not been able to provide us with a guaranteed restoration time.

What to Expect Monday

We will continue monitoring the situation throughout the morning.

If power is restored: Classes will be held as scheduled, and we will be excited to welcome everyone back to the studio!

If power has not been restored: We will send an update by 12:00 noon letting families know whether classes can safely be held that day or need to be canceled.

We will follow this same procedure each day until power is fully restored so that families have as much advance notice as possible.

Please Watch for Updates

We encourage everyone to check their email and UDA app notifications before heading to the studio. We will communicate any cancellations or changes as quickly as possible.

We know everyone is excited to begin the new season, and so are we! This is certainly an unusual and unexpected situation, and we appreciate your patience and flexibility as we work through something that is unfortunately beyond our control.

The safety and comfort of our students, families, and instructors remain our priority, and we will resume classes as soon as we can safely do so.

Thank you for your understanding and for being part of the United Dance Arts family. We hope to see everyone in class very soon!

Dear UDA Families & Friends,

Due to the power outage affecting Northwest Indiana, we unfortunately need to CANCEL TODAY’S United Dance Arts Open House scheduled for Saturday, August 15th.

The good news is that we have already rescheduled!

Happy Birthday to someone who means so much to our studio family! Your incredible personality, endless energy, and caring heart make such a difference every single day. You are not only an amazing instructor and office manager, but someone the kids absolutely adore and look up to.

Due to the forecasted tornado / hail storm in our area, we will be closed on March 10th, Tuesday.
