Comedy is coming back to Northwest Indiana!

Mighty Micks is a bar in Winfield, Indiana that has a nice size side room that is perfect for comedy.

If I understand correctly... we can look forward to monthly shows and weekly open mics again!

So if you enjoy watching comedy or want to try your hand at a turn on stage give Mighty Micks a shot! There is a full bar and a decent food menu.

I stopped by the Velvet Tiki Lounge last week and got booked on their first Stand-Up Comedy show with 3 of my favorite local Comedians.

I am mourning the loss of another local comedy club. The MillerBeach PerforMance Theater has closed it's doors due to financial constraints.
I will miss what was once known as D's PerforMance Theater, and the place that was there when I first decided to do "Stand-up" Comedy locally. Darryl Perfor Mance and King-David Lane, along with every other person who I met there always made me feel nothing but welcome and at ease to be myself both on and off stage.
There was always a group of comedians ready and willing to lift me onto and off of the stage every time I went there. until they went and surprised me with a ramp behind the stage. It was still so steep that I needed assistance, but it felt much safer. Darryl was so excited when I finally came back, so I could use it.
Anyway... Thanks for being there as long as you were! I can't wait to see what you come up with next.
