March brings me to 6 years in this space… even though the pandemic slowed things down (a week after I got my keys), I’ve managed to hustle/scrap/stumble my way into creating something beautiful. That only happened because so many of you contribute your energy, presence, resources into showing up!
Last year almost broke me… I wasn’t sure I could continue, and I thought this anniversary might be the last. However, I’m lucky to have an amazing partner and community that has kept things rolling along… so it actually feels like there are big things ahead in this year of the Fire Horse (fire being what brought me back to Vallejo 6 years ago).
The world feels really rough right now, and I’m struggling to find my footing (I can see the fatigue in my face). I also feel the hints of spring around the corner and some hope for my community… what is possible when we find joy in being together and taking care of each other. So that is what I will hold onto towards year 7. I want to bring more of that to my everyday… in the showroom, in the studio, in the world ✨
