Meet the artists of our 2026–27 season, Ode to Joy.

We’re delighted to welcome back Eliza O’Malley, who will sing the soprano solo in Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony this April at Hogan Auditorium.

Many audience members will remember Eliza from our free concert last month, where she brought warmth, elegance, and soaring lyricism to the role of Mimì in La Bohème. A leading soprano throughout Northern California, Eliza is also the Artistic Director of Vallejo’s own Verismo Opera and a passionate advocate for both emerging artists and new music.

Verismo Opera’s own Liliane Cromer joins the Vallejo Symphony as a soloist for Beethoven’s 9th next April. Season tickets available now!

Meet the artists of our 2026–27 season, Ode to Joy.

We’re delighted to welcome Liliane Cromer as the mezzo-soprano soloist in Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony this April at Hogan Auditorium.

Originally from France, Liliane studied in Strasbourg before continuing her musical education in the United States, earning her Master of Music in Vocal Performance from San José State University. In addition to her distinguished performing career, she is a dedicated educator and currently teaches voice at Santa Clara University.

Verismo Opera is a great place to sing if you are local and have a weekday and/or Sunday morning job! All rehearsals are on Saturday and Sunday afternoons.

-May 10th deadline to let us know that you would like to participate and to arrange an audition. If we have heard you sing before, an audition may not be necessary.
-Roles triple cast. Some roles will be cast with alternate genders. Performances include costumes, supertitles, and orchestra.
