You have a chance to perform your show for the sociology lecture series in the fall – details below. Please let me know if you’re interested.
Susan

I wanted to let you know I am again coordinating the Sociology Lecture Series this Fall and am interested, as usual, in including the students from Solopalooza into the series. They convey, in a poignant and artistic manner, the human condition of society so well in a very personal way. You do such a great job drawing them out. So if we could get some of them to present again for this series, that would be great for the students, faculty, and staff who attend the presentations.

The theme, this time, is called “Many Insights, Many Stories.” As always, the overall theme is a broad, inclusive title that could accommodate most anything, especially the subjects your students so eloquently portray in their individual presentations.

The Sociology Lecture Series will again be on Thursdays during the Fall semester, starting October 3, and goes to November 14 at Aliso Lecture Hall 108.

Each presentation has the capacity to go from around 11:10 to 12:15 (including Q & A), but we can accommodate a shorter time frame as well.

If you can again help and get the word out again to those students from Solopalooza you think could do their presentations for the lecture series program, I would greatly appreciate it. As in the past, feel free to have them contact me.

Hi all - Susan here. We lost our house/cat sitter for the holidays. So I’m looking for a sitter for December 18- December 31. We live in Pacific Palisades on PCH side of the beach - between Santa Monica and Malibu. It is has two bedrooms and an office, large kitchen and 2 baths. It's a manufactured home (a nice one - featured on the Home channel.)
There is a view, a pool, whirlpool bath, exercise room and club house. In the house you would have a computer, cable television (and Roku), extra-large bathtub. Your job would be to empty the litter box, give the two cats a little attention and water the plants in exchange for being in a nice home on the beach. Sorry - no parties (or we'll be kicked out and we love it here). The cats are adorable – one is a 7 month old large kitten and is wildly entertaining. You do have to supervise them a bit as they are in the process of getting to know each other. Let me know if you are interested. I can break it up into a week as someone has volunteered to do the first week. Or do both!
