Introducing the contestants of Valdosta’s Got Talent’s!
Alexis Mack is a 29-year old performer from Tifton, Georgia. At the age of 13, she discovered her passion for dance through watching the competition series, America’s Best Dance Crew. Alexis loves learning about the history and creative processes of media/performance, using the knowledge to work on improving her crafts. Her experiences include acting, news production, and participating in large scale community events (such as the annual Dragon Con Parade in Atlanta). Alexis is excited to be a part of the community and share the stage with other talented performers
Murray Rivette is retired from IBM, was born in Port Chester, New York. He served 4 years active duty as an Air Force instructor for Atomic Weapons, with FBI and directly under Atomic Energy Commission. Murray is a published author of 21 children’s plays and two books. He follows Syracuse University athletics, as well as the Yankees, New York Giants, Knicks, and the New York Rangers. Murray’s favorite role was Tevye in Fiddler on the Roof, which he has performed three times: Kingston, New York, Boynton Beach, Florida, and Lake Worth, Florida. The most interesting place he has visited is Hong Kong. His last Theatre Guild Valdosta role was Merlyn in Camelot. Murray has worked with William Shatner, Betty Grable, Van Johnson, and many others in professional summer stock. He plays the harmonica and can often be found playing his music around town at local venues.
Myan is a local Special Education teacher who also provides early intervention services in the community. Although she loves the students and families that she serves, her first love has always been music. Myan is conquering her performance anxiety thanks to the family she found with Theatre Guild Valdosta. She has been a member for about 2 years, performing in many productions. Auditioning for VGT was a big step for Myan, and she hopes she is able to move you with her performance. Whether she wins the competition or not, being chosen to perform has been the highest honor. Enjoy the show!
Music has always been Naomi's natural language-she was singing long before she could speak! Rooted in her church background, she uncovered a lifelong love for performance early on. Blending the timeless soul of classic hits with vibrant modern pop, she turns ordinary feelings into extraordinary songs. Off stage (and out of the shower!), Naomi works hard serving up cheer at Chicken Salad Chick in Valdosta, GA. She sends heartfelt thanks to her sister, Sarah, for being her most patient audience during late-night rehearsals. Naomi is thrilled to share her heart and voice with you tonight!
