Starbound Theatre Our goal is to ensure that our young actors all learn to take a bow and come up taller

Starbound Theatre is an award winning youth theatre program that works with the diverse families of our community. We partner with city recreation departments to offer low-cost, quality theater training and pride ourselves on being able to provide opportunities for students ages 7-17. Since opening our doors in 2003, Starbound Theatre has successfully produced over sixteen shows to student audienc

es and families while keeping the registration fee at a low cost. This gives us the ability to outreach to as many students as possible regardless of their socioeconomic background. Over 400 students have benefited from our comprehensive training and thousands in the community have enjoyed our performances.

Step behind the curtain and discover what it takes to bring a production to life at our Production Design Bootcamp!
Students will get hands-on experience exploring the world of technical theatre, including scenic design, lighting, sound, props, costumes, and stage management. They’ll work together as a production team, tackle creative challenges, develop their own production concept, and present their vision!

Starbound Theatre is officially taking a troupe to the Junior Theater Festival (JTF), the world’s largest celebration of young people performing musical theatre!

JTF brings together student theatre troupes from around the globe for an unforgettable weekend of:

⭐ Professional adjudication
⭐ Industry networking
⭐ Incredible memories with fellow theatre lovers

🎭 You must be enrolled in the Starbound Theatre Performing Arts Academy to be eligible to attend JTF.

Founded in 2018, our Performing Arts Academy provides year-round training in acting, singing, dance, musical theatre, and performance skills while helping students build confidence, creativity, leadership, and lifelong friendships. Whether you’re just starting your theatre journey or looking to take your skills to the next level, the Academy is where it all begins.
