While he is in our care, we are teaching your teeny tiny little turtle to play pool. You will be charged a very fair rate for the lessons we’ve given him based upon the skill level he’s achieved when you claim him.

If you lost your teeny tiny little turtle. I have him. Is there a reward?

I don’t think she means what he thinks she means. 🫣😂

I have to keep reminding her 😤

Santo’s family has elected not do public services but asks that if you’d like to express your condolences by giving a donation to the Abraham House, where he received wonderful compassionate care in his final days, it would be deeply appreciated.

Thank you for all the love you expressed! He would be so touched by all of the people who loved him.

Santo “Tubby” Gaetano LaPorte, age 77, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 10, 2026.

10/12/2026

Customer Friends and Pool Family,

It is with deep sadness and with permission from his family that I inform you that our loyal employee, number one Yankees fan, and lover of all things Italian, Santo “Tubby” LaPorte, passed away yesterday morning after a health battle. He loved working here and stayed as long as he could. He would text me at home to tell me funny occurrences or when some of you we hadn’t seen in a while popped in. He, in fact, worked in this building three different times over the decades! It seems between his ushering at the Aud and other civic involvements, he knew everyone! His passing is a great loss to our room and community. Please keep his wife, Betsy, his daughters and granddaughter in your heart and prayers. As soon as calling hours and service times are announced I will post them.
