A LITTLE POLICY UPDATE FROM OKIE POKIE INK 🩷
As us artists continue to grow, learn, and develop our own styles, we’re making a few changes to our shop policies. We want to be transparent about these changes and explain why they’re important to us.
1. Moving forward, we will no longer be accepting cover-ups unless they have been discussed and approved by your artist beforehand.
If your cover-up is approved through Messenger, your artist will manually book your appointment and send you a link to place your deposit.
Cover-up deposits will now be $100 total:
• $50 will be applied toward your appointment total
• $50 will go directly toward your artist for the time involved in creating a custom drawing/design specifically for your cover-up.
Cover-ups require a lot of planning, creativity, and preparation, and we want to make sure we can give each one the attention it deserves.
2. We will also no longer be accepting AI-generated tattoo designs as final tattoo designs.
We are always happy to look at inspiration! However, if you send an AI-generated image and would like to use it as the basis for your tattoo, you will need to discuss a custom design fee with your artist, and changes will be made to the inspiration so your artist can create an original tattoo design in their own artistic style.
We are artists, and part of what you’re investing in is our creativity, experience, and artistic vision.
3.We will no longer be fixing, reworking, or changing another artist’s existing tattoo.
We are absolutely happy to add to an existing piece when appropriate, but we will not be completing, correcting, or altering another artist’s work.
4. For the comfort and safety of everyone in the shop, children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an additional adult who is 18+.
We know policy changes can take some getting used to, and we truly appreciate everyone being understanding as we continue to figure out what works best for us, our clients, and our shop.
At the end of the day, these changes are about allowing us, as artists, to continue striving, growing, and developing into the artists we want to become. We want to explore our chosen styles, learn new techniques, challenge ourselves creatively, and create work that we’re genuinely proud to put our names behind.
