Moccasin Creek Festival this weekend. A message from the host:
MEET ME AT THE CREEK!
I have said a lot of things about Moccasin Creek Festival, the great music, much of which you’ll not have heard of yet, but I wanted to share a few things that maybe you haven’t heard about.
1. You can always be in the shade! In this hot-ass weekend, you’ll find it’s cooler generally out at the lake and the lovely hickory trees will keep the sun off you!
2. We have misting stations to aid in your comfort!
3. There is a free beach just a couple hundred yards from the grounds, an easy walk.
4. We have flush toilets! There is not a ports potty on the grounds! Stella!
5. Kids 15 and under are free with a paying adult. It’s part of our mission to inspire the next generation. In a world of screens, we are the real deal.
6. Your furry friends are welcome, as long as they are friendly and under control.
7. Parking is free and right across the street from the fest entrance.
8. We are tiny. The whole fest ground is about the size of a football field. Rarely more than 500 people on site.
9. All you need to bring is a chair. Seriously. It’s that easy.
10. The music will loud up front, not loud in the back. Take your pick!
