Balloon Fest - Urbana, Ohio 2026 Champaign County Balloon Fest - September 18th & 19th at Grimes Field in Urbana, OH.

The skies over Champaign County will be adorned with hot-air balloons on September 8 & 9, 2023 during the Champaign County Balloon Festival - A Hot Air Affair. The event will be held at Grimes Field airport in Urbana and will feature hot-air balloon launches and glows as well as music, food, a beer & wine garden and other entertainment for the entire family! The crowd-pleasing "balloon glow" will

take place at dusk on Friday and Saturday. With the balloons on the ground, the pilots will fire up the burners, causing the balloons to glow like giant light bulbs.

Many people are posting saying they are accepting vendors, etc who are really NOT PART of the URBANA HOT AIR BALLOON FESTIVAL -

We are still accepting vendors and food trucks but the ONLY person who can approve you is Mary - you can email Mary at [email protected]........ALL of THE OTHERS SAYING THEY ARE PART OF THE FESTIVAL ARE TRYING TO TAKE YOUR MONEY OR TRICK YOU INTO COMING TO A DIFFERENT EVENT !!! we would love to hear any details about these imposters.......names, addresses, e-mails, THANK YOU

This year's Hot Air Balloon Festival will be 2 nights, September 18th and 19th..........Gate to the ramp will be open from 4:pm to 9:pm each night..........We will have a Kids' Area, Lots of Food Trucks and Craft Vendors plus a DJ and Beer Garden.......... Vendors and Food Truck info is below..........Still the cheapest night of entertainment anywhere........Adults $2 at the gate, Kids 10 up $1 and under 10 free. Balloon Launch planned for 6 pm both nights, but launching is completely wind dependent ( 8 knots or less.
