Central Illinois Theater Academy The Central Illinois Theater Academy (C.I.T.A) is dedicated to making theater accessible to everyone, regardless of personal or financial situation. It’s new.

That is why C.I.T.A specializes in teaching Chicago-Style Theater, right here in Central Illinois! Chicago style theater is bold! It’s experimental. It’s exciting! C.I.T.A will also add “minimalistic” to that list in order reduce cost and therefore stay on mission to increase accessibility. This means that C.I.T.A will focus on the actor and the craft by utilizing alternative theater styles, such

as improvisational theater, sketch comedy, and new works rather than concentrating on sets, props, or costumes. As they often say in Chicago, “something from nothing…”
