Well, the permit was denied. Over the last week, we’ve tried to understand the reason behind the decision, but we’ve been told they are not required to provide an explanation.

In a small community like ours, it often takes a local family willing to invest their time, money, and resources to bring something new to the area. Unfortunately, this time things did not work out in our favor.

We want to sincerely thank everyone who supported this idea, attended and spoke at meetings, wrote letters, and made phone calls on our behalf. Your encouragement and support have meant more to us than you know.

The Warren County Commissioners voted 2-1 against a conditional use permit for the proposed Goon Speedway race track to be located at the property located at 22245 Lix Road.

The meeting went well last night! The commissioners wanted to review their notes and documents and will be giving us an answer on the 14th. 🤞

In the meantime, go check out a nearby track tomorrow at the Hams Prairie International Speedway near Fulton, MO. Gates open at 1pm, racing starts at 3pm! 🏁🚦

We appealed the board’s denial decision and will be presenting our case at the commissioner level tonight at 6:00 PM for a review and final vote. If you’re able and willing to attend, we would greatly appreciate your support.

We believe that having a strong turnout from the community could make a difference in the outcome this time.

Don’t forget to mark your calendar for this Thursday, February 19 at 7pm. We present at the county board meeting to get the track approved. We invite all racers, families, and supporters to join us. Your presence and support mean so much. As you know, we are not a big NASCAR track. This is about making a safe, fun track for families to come enjoy some small-car dirt racing. We hope to see everyone there!!

Super excited to welcome Kokomo Joe's Family Fun Center as a track sponsor. Kokomo Joes is our areas premier fun center. This Fall new high speed racing karts on a 2 story track will be rippin around the new speedway at Kokomo Joes and we can’t wait to sharpen our skills behind the wheel in the off season.
