Gettysburg National 19th Century Base Ball Festival The 16th Annual Gettysburg National 19th Century Base Ball Festival is July 18-19, 2026

The Gettysburg National Base Ball Festival transports fans back in time to watch real base ball players play the sport as it was during the Civil War and just before the Battle of Gettysburg. Over a two-day span, teams from across the country participate in 1864 styled base ball games. The 19th Century Festival has quickly become one of the finest in vintage base ball. The festival is held at Schr

oeder Farm on 965 Pumping Station Road, the site of the filming of the movie Gettysburg, as well several battle re-enactments of the last 10 years.

On behalf of the The Eclipse Base Ball Club of Elkton the Gettysburg Generals and all of the clubs who came out to the 16th Annual Gettysburg National 19th Century Base Ball Festival, we want to thank all the fans who came out to watch how base ball was played in Adams County in 1864.

A big thank you to the Keystone Base Ball Club of Harrisburg for supplying the hot dogs on Friday for the Kids Clinic. Also a big thank you to all of our players who led the talks at the Base Ball Walk Down Steinwehr Avenue.

A special thanks to our partners, Gettysburg Eddie's and the Steinwehr Avenue—Gettysburg for all of their support this past weekend. Several of our non profit partners were able to raise thousands for their own individual causes while helping us bring to the public what a sporting event looked like in the middle 19th century....before million dollar contracts, televisions...and gloves.

Hurrah!
