Photos from a shoot I did last week with Khola Waddy, Sam Agostino, and Jen Liu. I took and edited the photos as well as painted the dresses. Khola was the creative director/stylist, Sam on hair/makeup, and Jen was our model.

Throwback to the first shoot I did in 2020 entirely with a model wearing a hand painted mask. It’s hard to model under those circumstances, but .elysewhitmer still brought out the melancholy in the space gown through her eyes.

One of my favorite people ever is this lady here .jekyll.herself . And she is celebrating ten years of her salon this week. Congratulations on being an incredible business woman, stylist, and all around badass. I’m so happy to be your friend.

Throwback to last year when I did this shoot with . The dress was originally my mom’s wedding dress that I painted. Also the shirt I’m wearing, my grandma wore when she got married in 1954. Also I’ve had three different hair colors/styles since this.
I’m not a super huge fan of being in front of the camera, but Eden rocks.

And I’m painting again. I started in my MFA Creative Writing program 9 weeks ago and haven’t picked up a brush until today. I’ve missed it.
The dress here, prior to painting, was given to me by my friend . I am painting it for a 70s themed party. The reference for the flowers comes from a vintage 70s maxi dress. It’s far from done, but it feels so good to be painting again.
And yes, my roots are longer than my 9 weeks in the MFA, thankfully .jekyll.herself is fixing that soon.
