🇵🇪✨ Danza de las Tijeras – Ayacucho, Perú

La Danza de las Tijeras es una expresión ancestral de fuerza, espiritualidad, identidad y resistencia cultural de los Andes peruanos. A través de esta tradición y del legado de maestros como Yana Paqcha, seguimos compartiendo la riqueza cultural del Perú con nuevas generaciones.

El Center of Peruvian Arts trabaja para preservar, enseñar y compartir estas tradiciones a través de la danza, la música y la transmisión cultural.

🇺🇸 Scissors Dance – Ayacucho, Peru

The Scissors Dance is an ancestral Andean tradition representing strength, spirituality, identity, and cultural resilience. Through this tradition and the legacy of masters such as Yana Paqcha, we continue sharing Peru’s rich cultural heritage with new generations.

At the Center of Peruvian Arts, we preserve, teach, and share these traditions through dance, music, and cultural transmission.

Center of Peruvian Arts is honored to participate in the Hispanic Heritage Celebration at Brookfield Zoo!

Join us for a special day celebrating the richness, diversity, and cultural traditions of the Hispanic community. Center of Peruvian Arts will be proud to share Peruvian culture through music, dance, and the performing arts as part of this special celebration.

Date: Saturday, September 26, 2026
Time: 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Location: Brookfield Zoo Chicago

The celebration is included with Zoo admission and is open to all ages.
