A woman identified as Taneisha Thompson is speaking out following a January 16, 2026 traffic stop in Hurst, Texas, that she describes as a violent and unprovoked arrest.
In a public statement, Thompson says the encounter escalated after she tossed a traffic ticket out of her window. She alleges an officer then forcibly removed her from her vehicle without warning, leading to a physical altercation.
Thompson claims she suffered multiple injuries, including a black eye, a busted lip requiring stitches, and severe bruising. She also alleges that additional officers pinned her down, placing knees on her back and chest.
Since the incident, she says she has experienced ongoing fear and public backlash, but is continuing to speak out, calling for accountability, de-escalation practices, and greater safety for citizens.
