Route 66 is considered the Mother Road and also known as one of the original highways in the US, it starts in Chicago, Illinois and ends in Los Angeles, California. Route 66 served as the primary route for people who migrated west, especially during the 1930s.

The 1984 NBA draft is often thought as the greatest in NBA history. Four Hall of Famers were drafted in the first sixteen picks. The Chicago Bulls used their third pick to draft #23 who was the Naismith and Wooden College Player of the Year arriving from the University of North Carolina. Michael Jordan has since become synonymous with Chicago, a city that loves its sports and Michael Jordan, often considered the greatest basketball player of all time. The Chicago Bulls won six NBA championships with Michael Jordan on the roster.

Fort Dearborn was established in present-day Chicago in 1803 and fifteen years later the state of Illinois went on to become the 21st U.S. state. This photograph depicts for Dearborn as it appeared in 1831. There is a marker at the corner of Michigan and Wacker Drive at the Fort's original site.
